Finals preview, Spain vs Brazil

Who will win in this tense face off? The defending World Cup and Euro Champions Spain or the 5-time World Cup winners Brazil? They haven't met each other for a very long time and what I mean by long is almost a decade and a half. When they played 14 years ago, they tied nil to nil. The both teams have done very good, haven't lost a single match through the Confederations Cup and both teams are even, having a 35 game unbeatable streak (A record in world football) but so far in the late games in around May, Spain have been unbeatable. I think it will be a great, tense game, but Brazil will win. I think they are also the favorites because of the semi-finals; Spain had to play 120 min++ while Brazil only had to play 45 x 2.  I say both teams will play well. So far the Spaniards are better through statistics, winning recent cups and they are currently first in rankings."I was really looking forward to a final against Spain, and I don’t think I am the only one. We have the chance to test ourselves against the best team in the world and the defending world champions. We feel a mixture of respect and admiration for our opponents, but we need to impose ourselves and play our game,” said Brazilian star Neymar. Brazil will have to face Spain trademark tikki-takka tactic and I think both coaches are experienced especially Spain's coach Vicente Del Bosque, the mastermind behind Spain's World Cup and Euro, but I also think that Brazil's Luiz Felipe Scolari is great, after he managed tons of successful teams and personally, I think that they look quite alike except that Vicente Del Bosque looks a bit more cheerful :). This game will most definite be tense and there's a 60% chance that it's going to extra time or even maybe penalties. The game is playing tonight, and I think a huge amount of supporters will watch it. Some say it's a dream final.19:00, local time (Rio). Remember,19:00, local time!

Finals and 3rd Place Playoff venue and my opinion about the two matches

Brazil and Spain ready to face each other at one of the largest stadiums in the world, Estadio do Maracana at Rio De Janeiro, 3rd place playoff featuring Italy and Uruguay to face off at Arena Fonte Nova at Salvador.
After two tense matches, the grand stage is coming tomorrow. Brazil and Spain, as we know it and either team will steal the moment to have their hands on the Confederations Cup, a grand preview for the grand stage of world football. I think the winners of the latest Euro and World Cup will finally fall to the hands of the five time South Americans, the great Brazilians. But definitely, I'm not saying that the great matadors have no chance, but sorry, Spanish fans, I think it'll be a tense game but Brazil will win by a point or probably it'll be another tense penalty shootout for Spain. Now, to the 3rd place playoff, the Italians have better chance especially because of their better players but you can't say that Uruguay doesn't have any good players. The great players from Spain are: Casillas, Xavi, Ramos, Mata, and Torres. The star players from Brazil are: Neymar, Fred, Julio Cesar, and Marcelo. The star players from Uruguay are: Lugano, Forlan, Suarez, and Cavani. The star players from Italy are: Pirlo, Buffon, Balotelli, and Chiellini. Personally, I think it was luck that Spain went through the semi-finals against Italy because Bonucci wasn't supposed to take the spot kick, Giaccherini was supposed to. "I spoke with Bonucci. I said, Leonardo, you go, because I was convinced he would have scored. It's ashame. Unfortunatelay, it's always a lottery." Said the Juventus forward.

Recent Confederation Cup Scores, who's advancing, who's going back home

South American clash and also a European clash in the tense Confederations Cup Semi-finals
Uruguay vs Brazil and Spain vs Italy as we know it and after two tense semi-finals, Brazil and Spain come out as great, proud winners. These two giants will meet each other at the finals to consider the winners of the 2013 Confederation Cup. Now with Brazil vs Uruguay. Tense game, Brazil with three yellow cards while Uruguay got two. The players from Brazil that were yellow carded are David Luiz, Marcelo, and Dias. From Uruguay, the yellow carded men were Gonzales and Lazio player Endison Cavani. Both teams played well but Brazil dominated ball possession. Goalscorers were Fred in the 42nd, Cavani out for the equalizer in the 48th and Paulinho for the winning goal in the late 87th. For the European clash, Italy cut down Spain's attack with amazing pace and according to some people, Spain had their first shot on goal on the 58th minute. Italy had a golden attempt of winning on the 36th minute with Maggio heading a cross from Giaccherini but grateful Casillas saved it in the nick of time.
Spain's goalkeeper Casillas makes a save on a header by Italy's Maggio during their Confederations Cup semi-final soccer match at the Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza
Spanish goalkeeper and captain makes a spectacular save against Italy at their tense semi-final at Fortaleza. Maggio's diving  header proved to be a great chance of winning but Casillas goes for the save.

                                                                     About Me
Hi, I am Pascal, a great fan of football (or soccer) and I would love to make a blog about it. Now every soccer fan in the entire planet know about the confederation cup, a prelude to the greatest soccer tournament, the FIFA World Cup which is going to be held in Brazil, and that is why the confederation cup, which only features around 8 teams (Brazil, Italy, Japan, Mexico, and more more teams from Group B are Uruguay, Nigeria, Tahiti, and Spain) are held in Brazil too. Many people around the world expect Spain to win a trophy once again. As for me, I am a great fan of Germany because of its stock of talented players such as Bastian Schweinsteiger, Phillip Lahm, and not to mention one of the players who led Bayern Munich to their treble, Thomas Muller. All of these great players have led the German giants Bayern Munich to reach a hard won treble especially the UEFA Champions League and Bundesliga. I also vote for Germany because of their tactical coach, Jochim Loew. Both Germany and Spain have a great chance of winning in the world cup because of their full stock of dangerous strikers. I will be very excited for it and personally, I like their new armadillo mascot Fuleco better than Zakumi, the old world cup mascot that was held in South Africa.
